No matter how long I charge, the battery indicator remains red

Does your device work without the charging cable?

If it turns on and works without the charging cable, please use your device until the battery is empty.  After that, try to charge your device and wait for 30 minutes before turning it on once again. Make sure you use the original charging cable.
